FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WELLNESS CENTER AT SEA SAILS INTO 6th SUCCESSFUL YEAR
Delray Beach, FL (September 1, 2010) The 24,000-ton passenger ship The M/V Explorer is set to sail for another Semester at Sea filled to capacity with university students from around the world. Lucky for this student body the ship is also home to the popular Wellness Center at Sea which is a mind, body, spirit spa currently celebrating their 6th anniversary. The 110-foot spa features advanced treatments for the entire body, has something for everyone and has far surpassed the original vision for this first-ever wellness center of its kind. This success story is the brainchild of Dawn Piljek, an industry expert who is also the Co-Founder of Vital Life World. Piljek is known for creating niche markets within this vast industry, launching wellness centers, hotel spas and medical spas. Now Piljek is taking a moment to reflect on this innovative, sea-based spa and the keys to its success.
We always offer the most up-to-date treatments with a highly trained staff, in a very unique environment and this is what helps us to continue to grow the business model even into our 6th year,” says Piljek. In true form she is using the anniversary as an opportunity to add several new, cutting-edge treatments.
Recently, the spa has introduced OPI Axxium Nails; this next-generation, nearly weightless, gel treatment far surpasses the more traditional acrylic nail process by offering a gel and color in one, as well as a much more natural look. In addition, it acts as an invisible layer to protect the nails keeping them strong, shiny and beautiful. The treatment is designed to be worn for 2 weeks and is typically used for short term use however they can also be refilled like acrylics. Regardless of how long the client keeps the OPI Axxium Nails on, the removal process is a great deal easier and leaves the nail much healthier. Piljek says.
The fact that we are progressive and forward-thinking is what keeps our clients happy and helps the Wellness Center maintain a leadership position in the industry, which is something we always want to celebrate.”
Training and forward-thinking is what inspired the introduction of the avant-garde Swiss anti-cellulite therapy, Bamboo Massage, as well. The Selvert Company creators of this revolutionary treatment boarded the ship to personally train the Wellness Center at Sea technicians when it was docked in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Once The M/V Explorer set sail this advanced 50-minute treatment, done in a series of 3 sessions, would now be available for their clientele. The unique Bamboo Massage uses different sized bamboo sticks manipulated in an exact rhythmic pattern combined with more traditional massage therapies and special oils created to provide a detoxifying effect which assists the lymph drainage system. The unique metrical beat is part of this inventive process where the technician works the entire body, focusing on the troubled areas. Everyone is interested in the next best anti-cellulite treatment and now Semester at Sea students will have the opportunity to try this Swiss therapy on for size.
Piljek, who searches the globe looking for the best of the best, also invited the Barcelona based Thulya Company on-board to train her team in a new, extraordinary lash extension treatment which lasts 6-8 weeks. The process takes 2 days and 3 hours of dedication while highly trained technicians apply 35-40 individual lashes per eye. They start by enhancing the shape of the entire eye area by waxing and tinting the brows. Then they dye the lashes and put-in an instant curl by adding a permanent to the lash line; the root to tip color and curl create a very natural and fuller look. This revolutionary lash extension process create gorgeous results meaning clients are incredibly satisfied with a luxurious, full shaped eye and no need for mascara; no muss and no fuss also comes in handy on-board the ship.
The ship based Wellness Center charges well below average prices found on land at top spas and salons around the globe. This spa not only knows their customers but caters to their every need including the fact that they are often on limited budgets. Perhaps the special price-points and extra consideration for their clientele, along with exceptional customer service and progressive therapies is why the Wellness Center at Sea is sailing into its 6th year with such great success and no signs of slowing down.
Vital Life World (VLW), a global, wellness enterprise based out of The US operates Wellness Center at Sea as a concessionaire on-board the M/V Explorer. The center is carefully supervised with the guidance of renowned Eastern Medicine Doctor Saša Piljek, to ensure quality and excellence.
