OUR PROJECTS

WELLNESS AT SEA
Vital Life World Wellness Spas, Ships & Clinics, a division of VLW, operated the spa and fitness Wellness Center on board the 24,000-ton passenger vessel M/V Explorer for nearly a decade. Home of the international Semester at Sea Program, the Wellness at Sea program shaped the student experience in untold ways. By providing a wellness component in the academic environment, students experienced first hand methods to managing stress and the benefits of self care. It also provided a safe alternative to salons ashore, which were often unsanitary and hazardous. Finally, it proved to be a viable revenue stream, and set a new bar for innovation on cruise ships.
TAO KIROPRACTIKA
Tao Kiropraktika I Integrativna Medicina, situated in the charming European town of Samobor, Croatia just 20 minutes from the capitol city of Zagreb, was the first medispa ever to be opened in that region, offering a balanced mix of Tao specialties and western medical spa services such as slimming wraps, anti aging treatments, signature massages and anti-cellulite treatments. VLW designed and implemented the signature services, created the marketing strategy, hired and trained staff and managed the day-to-day operations of this thriving European destination.

SKIN CARE INSTITUTE
In the late 1990’s, before medispa’s were so ubiquitous, VLW was brought in to Skincare Institute to revitalize an old OB-GYN office into a spa-like environment that offered a range of treatments, bridging the gap between a doctor’s office and a day spa. VLW turned a clinical setting to sanctuary and ultimately the highest grossing medispa in the country. VLW managed the day-to-day operations including creating operational procedures, crafting protocols, managing training, hiring and firing of staff, implementing customer service processes, selecting spa software, procuring FF&E and creating signature services and products that elevated the guest experience.
CENTER FOR COSMETIC MEDICAL DERMATOLOGY
The Center for Cosmetic Medical Dermatology, a struggling medispa, turned to Vital Life World for operational and management guidance. Having only managed a doctor’s office, the owners had a vision for a spa-like setting to compliment their practice, but did not have the operational know-how to execute. VLW implemented new operational procedures, crafted protocols, designed a retail program and oversaw training, identified and procured product lines, managed the hiring and firing of staff, implemented customer service processes, created a new menu of services, and launched marketing and PR events to increase business. VLW successfully led Center for Cosmetic Medical Dermatology out of the red and into profitability under their management and guidance.
